Hervey Bay is renowned for offering an enviable lifestyle amongst its natural environment including pristine waters and unspoilt beaches, the coastal lifestyle providing marvellous opportunities for fishing and water pursuits such has sailing and diving. Tourism is at the heart of the growth of Hervey Bay and 5 star resorts have already been established. It is famous for its calm water, whale watching, eco-tourism and heritage listed Fraser Island. Hervey Bay also has all of the modern services and infrastructure expected of a vibrant coastal destination.

Maryborough, now home to some 25,000 was settled from the middle of the nineteenth century and boasts some of Queensland finest historical architecture.

The region has a strong education sector with many private and public schools. The University of Southern Queensland also has a strong and growing campus which has provided local tertiary education in many fields for over 20 years to members of the local community and a healthy number of international students. We also enjoy the benefit of a number of private and public hospitals and are well served by the continuing expansion of other public infrastructure.

Our community provides virtually all that could be asked in catering to sporting, cultural and social interests and endeavours.

Hervey Bay also enjoys direct airline flights from Sydney daily provided by Virgin Blue, with direct flights from Melbourne to start in the near future. Qantas Link also provide a daily service to Brisbane, and local providers supply a regular service to Lady Elliott Island and the Great Barrier Reef.

Hervey Bay has a strong legal profession with over a dozen firms and over 30 solicitors and one member of the bar.

Hervey Bay has consistently been one of the strongest growing regions in Australia over the last many years in terms of development and population, and opportunities continue to grow with that progress. Follow the links below to review more information about Hervey Bay and surrounding regions.
